Flexischools works on study to shape healthy eating in schools

Flexischools recently worked with Hunter New England Local Health District to understand the effectiveness of using web-based canteens to deliver a public health nutrition intervention in primary schools. Flexischools made this ‘Click & Crunch’ intervention technically possible by altering the interface of our online canteen ordering system. This included menu labelling, positioning, prompting, feedback, and incentives. The 12-month study found that this intervention increased the selection of healthy items by almost 10% with no decrease in canteen revenue! We are proud to have supported a study that will help shape healthy eating in schools, and we are excited to see how we can implement this intervention at a larger scale.
